As we advocate for the rights of women, the girl child and vulnerable families to foster community development, we work in collaboration with local leaders. On this day, we were lucky enough to table the dialogue to End Child Marriages, Early Unions and Teenage pregnancies within our communities in Entebbe, Kitala, Nalugala, Mpala, Kigungu and Nakawuka villages. The particular village Local Council Chairmen, Youth leaders, School Directors, Women’s Representatives and Representatives from the Children and Home affairs Police department turned up in a very insightful discussion on how we will continue working together for the good of our communities, for the good of human rights and to put an end to Early unions, teenage pregnancies and child marriage.
All our local leaders pledged to keep supporting us, and working with us.
