KIGUNGU EMPOWERMENT OUTREACH
With our project in Kigungu, we work with community leaders to further spread our empowerment program to the vulnerable young women we found in this community. We may not be able to give shelter to all but they can avail of our different educational programs. Some of the lessons being shared with the young women include crafts, business studies, math, health, English, traditional dance, among others.
With this project we offer shelter to teen mothers and young women in the form of full lodging inclusive of meals. We work with local council leaders in our community to identify those women who truly need a hand.We operate two shelter homes, with our main home sheltering 15 young women & 6 babies under the age of one. Our other shelter home is new & smaller housing 7 women. We always have a bed for a teen mother plus child in need of a place to reboot and find reformation.
